N-Chlorotaurine (NCT) occurs naturally in the human body, where it is created by white blood cells to kill invading pathogens, and to control and terminate the body’s inflammatory response.
NCT is effective against virtually all pathogens including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. After it kills a pathogen, NCT breaks down into essential substances already found in the human body, and therefore it is non-toxic and does not cause allergic reactions.
Unlike antibiotics or vaccines (antibodies) which only target specific pathogens, the non-specific way NCT kills pathogens prevents them from ever becoming resistant to it.
NCT is pharmaceutically synthesized as a sodium salt, which readily dissolves in water to formulate a topical antiseptic medication that is exceptionally safe and tolerable.
